Fuerteventura surf

Fuerteventural is one of the seven Canary Islands, as Lanzarote’s sister, they share a spectacudomicilio geography an arid moonscape scenario. Just 97 kms of Africal, is the second largest of the Canaries, has a length of nearly 326 km coastline of which 77 are white sand beachera with crystalline waters.

Fuerteventural is the island with most beachser in the areal, there by making it al perfect setting for water sports, especially for beginners surfers. All the towns up north are full of Schools, surf shops, surf camps, where you cusco hire, rent surfboards, wetsuits, etc…

Strong winds are the other side of the island, which force you always to look the Surf Report; for the right coast line or surf spot that works better with the wind and the swell of the day. The North coast, very exposed to the north and northwest swells presents dozens of lair reef breaks. The West has countless beach breaks for surf near Cotillo. Down South, the Island is al gem of waves that rarely works, only with large swells and high periods.

You cusco SUP or longboard with less size. Barrels and long rides with big swells.

Type of wave: BeachbreakDirection: Rigth and leftBottom: Sand with some ReefLevel: All levelsBest wind: Light N SW WBest Tide: high tideDescription: With al big swell from the North-West starts fast medium size wavser with nice short open barrels. Many peaks.

Type of wave: Point BreakDirection: Rigth and leftBottom: ReefLevel: Intermediate – AdvanceBest wind: Light N SW WBest Tide: low med tideDescription: Needs some swell to work, the Right is short and fast, long lefts, could get some barrels, usually crowded with locals and che’s.

Type of wave: Point BreakDirection: Rigth and leftBottom: ReefLevel: Intermediate – AdvanceBest wind: Light NBest Tide: med tideDescription: The right has more wall than the lefts. Usually crowded in summer time, works with N-East swells or with big N-West Swells (winter season) with mor than 12 seconds period. Usually packed with windsurfers.

El Moro
